King’s College London Arts & Humanities Impact Acceleration Account
Running from 2022 – 2025, the Arts & Humanities Impact Acceleration Account at King’s College London is a £450,000 grant provided by the Arts & Humanities Research Council, part of UK Research & Innovation, for creative impact activities linked to research.
The IAA at King’s aims to:
- Maximise the cultural and societal impact of Arts and Humanities research by leveraging new impact activities that reach publics underrepresented in the universities (e.g. low-income, first-generation attendees, LGBT+, and BAME stakeholders)
- Extend existing, and create new, strategic partnerships by working with a diverse range of internal and external partners to conduct impact activities that are demand-led and that meet the needs of publics in London and globally
- Create new opportunities for impact, both on- and off-line, networking with external stakeholders and communities to extend our use of virtual platforms, enabling us to widen access to information and collaboration in more flexible ways and to enhance our understanding of how to generate impact in digital environments.
- Sustain, accelerate and communicate an impact culture in the Faculty and beyond by extending impact literacy in the Arts and Humanities community, from postgraduate research level upwards through tailored training courses.
Around 50% of the IAA grant is being assigned as sub-grants for diverse impact activities, details of which are captured through these webpages.
